​Job description

With great pleasure, we are serving continental food and are a casual dining restaurant. Sous chef will be responsible for the preparation of high-quality continental cuisine along with introducing oriental and fusion cuisine in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. Also, will manage catering orders and preparations. As an important team player you will be work closely with The Executive Chef.

Skills Requirements:

  • Five years + experience as a Chef
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Education in culinary arts is an asset
  • Must be experienced in continental, oriental and fusion cuisine and catering
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate and dedicated to food quality and control
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for preparation and presentation of food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling
  • Baking knowledge and experience is an asset
  • Create new recipes
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Excellent communication and organization skills


  • Oversees the preparation of meals for dining and catered events, as well as meeting refreshments
  • Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to guests in a timely fashion
  • Ensures stations are appropriately stocked before the restaurant opens and throughout shifts
  • Daily preparation of pizza, salads, pasta, soups and hors d’oeuvres
  • Prepare and cater fusion cuisine as required
  • Bake cakes, muffins and prepare other desserts
  • Assist Executive Chef in managing production and catering delivery timelines and scheduling
  • Coordinate with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, catering and kitchen efficiency and staffing
  • Complies with all health and hygiene requirements under all food safety and handling legislation
  • Create new recipes

Compensation: wage $22.50 per hour

Start date: ASAP

Work hours: Minimum 40 hours per week and flexible schedule for weekends and evenings
