Our Product Marketing team is a highly skilled group of marketers who can bridge the worlds of technology and sales with ease, and are experts in our products and buyers. This is a dynamic position in a fast growing and innovative technology company where you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales and Marketing Communications to develop high-impact and meaningful product launches. You are driven by success, understand marketing, but also naturally curious and at-home with technology, making you a credible and reliable voice for the outbound messaging of our product lines. 

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the chosen candidate will have a strategic role to play in the success of Genetec’s product lines. You will form an important part of the outbound communication chain and as such will be measured on the effectiveness of your marketing plans, your understanding of the market and the competition, your skill in engaging both the market and the channel, and your ability to drive strong demand for our products. 


The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the outbound marketing activities of their product segment. Your key areas of focus include product messaging, sales enablement and training, collateral and sales tools production, market/competitive research and analysis, go-to-market planning, and demand generation. 

  • Own the marketing and outbound messaging for your assigned products 
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products, the market, and the competition 
  • Define and communicate the value proposition of your assigned products to the sales team and the channel, as well as develop sales tools that support your marketing strategy 
  • Engaging with sales managers to ensure they are properly trained, have a clear understanding of key messages, and can easily position and sell Genetec products. 
  • Analyze market and channel data, and develop action plans that target buyers and markets. 
  • Accountable for the go-to-market plan, product launches and related activities 
  • Developing smart, organized and effective outbound campaigns with your colleagues in the Marketing Communications team including whitepapers and other collaterals 


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering (with marketing experience), or equivalent business experience 
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of business to business (B2B) software and/or hardware product marketing experience, ideally in a field-facing role for a technology company 
  • Experience in one or more areas of marketing such as product launches, sales enablement, go-to-market planning, market analysis, competitor analysis, digital marketing and promotions 
  • Demonstrated success in working with Marketing Communications, Sales, and Product Management teams 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting in front of an audience 
  • Bilingual (French & English) with a strong command of the English language 
  • Passionate about technology, with a track record of successful technology product launches 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) 


  • Knowledge or expertise with enterprise software, hardware, or networking (IP) technology, SaaS 
  • Pragmatic Marketing training, an MBA, or experience as a product manager 
  • Experience with workflow-based solutions, command and control software, emergency or incident management products
