We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager based out of a home office in the Toronto – Montreal corridor.  Reporting to the General Manager (GM) Sales, the incumbent’s primary responsibilities will be:

  • Develop an Annual Sales Plan that is aligned with sales goals.
  • Work directly with Retail Support Managers, Business Development Managers, and other Territory Sales Managers to obtain targets.
  • Develop and update quarterly prospect lists for all programs offered.
  • Identify retailer needs and new opportunities to help set the direction of the organization.
  • Regularly report to the GM Sales on competitive information in the field and how it will affect the organization.
  • Develop, maintain and execute an effective and efficient call cycle in the territory.
  • Manage territory expenses to budget.
  • Become proficient in the SPIN selling sales process and use it in the sales function.
  • Assist with other functions as required.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of sales experience.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to work within a team environment.
  • Proficient in basic accounting; balance sheets, income statements, budgets, debits, credits, etc.
  • Possess a good understanding of today’s retail environment.
  • Good presentation skills; the ability to control and direct a conversation.
  • Experience in executing strategic plans.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Available to travel 2-3 weeks per month, or as required.
  • Ability to work out of a home office.
