Sulzer Pumps – Wastewater Canada, is seeking an experienced full-time Sales Account Manager. Locally based in British Columbia, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies for municipal, construction, dewatering, and related products and services offered in the assigned regional area. Our candidate will be in charge of managing the sales channels within their assigned territory, and will travel to promote and maintain working ties within those channels towards the achievement of sales results. Reporting remotely into the Wastewater Canada offices, teamwork and co-ordination is essential between our candidate and the services, application engineering, and order entry teams. 

Essential Functions:           

  • Achieve targets via development and execution of business development plans.
  • Establish, develop, and/or replace sales channel partners/distributors as needed to penetrate new project and aftermarket opportunities.
  • Coordinate and conduct product training to sales channels.
  • Ensure local service needs be met by our distributor networks' capabilities, or enhanced as needed.
  • Coodinate with service team to ensure service network is certified.
  • Analyze and identify market trends; provide feedback to support teams.
  • Manage sales channel performance; optimize our position within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to invest time for customer meetings, including overnight travel, within assigned territory.

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred, or a similar technical degree, in conjunction with relevant experience and knowledge in marketing and selling of industry related equipment (ie, submersible pumps, compressors, municipal water industry, and so forth)
  • Proven sales success.
