Description of Position

As part of the Information Technology System team, the Computer Technician maintains and deploys computer systems and software that will meet the needs of the students and staff. This includes the set up and installation of equipment, as well as providing support and training on the equipment to staff.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

  • Successful completion of a Computer/Information Technology program at an accredited college or university?(minimum 2 year program) AND 1 year of recent related experience


  • 5 years of recent related experience


  • Basic knowledge of software licensing and copyright concepts and regulations
  • Sound knowledge and experience using and supporting Windows devices (both PCs and laptops) ?


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in order to quickly and effectively diagnose and eliminate problems that affect our users (E.g.: failing equipment, software interaction with other software, and training)
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and relate to people tactfully, diplomatically, respectfully, and professionally at all times
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and effective decision making
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills
  • Effective team player
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to new technology; quick learner
  • Ability to provide regular attendance
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle and access to a mobile phone (allowance provided)

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Abilities

  • A+ certification
  • Sound knowledge and experience using and supporting Windows devices as well as Apple devices (both iOS and Mac)

Salary to be commensurate with recent related experience; annual salary range is $48,873 to $61,089. A fringe benefit package is provided.
