Territory Sales Manager - Automation

Our client, a global leader in process and industrial automation has a rare opening for an experienced Territory Manager for Quebec and the Maritimes.

Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work with area Reps, Distributors, and Area Sales Managers to coordinate and develop sales opportunities with existing customers as well as new target accounts.
  • Develop a strategy for the assigned territories that leverages resources to achieve sales growth.
  • Analyze and evaluates sales channel partners and ensure that there is the correct mix of sales channel partners in assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies with sales channel partners.
  • Establish and develop target list of accounts that will generate sales growth.
  • Manage the sales processes and secure business on large project opportunities.
  • Coordinate complex sales efforts involving multiple companies.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to penetrate strategic industries and accounts.
  • Deliver key Corporate messages regarding strategy and accountability to our distributors.
  • Analyze and evaluate business opportunities utilizing corporate CRM tools.
  • Manage all commercial and relationship issues within assigned territories.
  • Coordinate launch strategy of new products and technologies.

Your skills and previous experience likely include:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Business, Engineering or related.
  • Experience with key manufacturing segments (pharmaceutical, automotive, packaging, robotics).
  • 3-5 years selling or technical experience with Industrial Automation products including sensors, safety, controls, etc.
  • Ability to travel.
