Wingsum International Trading Inc., a meat processing business in Greater Vancouver Area, integrates meat processing, freezing, storage, and delivery. Wingsum Food applies the advanced meat processing equipment &instruments and the standardized management pattern to ensure safety and freshness of the meat products in the process of freezing, processing, examination, delivery, etc. At the moment, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to coordinate all staffing-related matters for our company.

Salary: $50,000/Annum
Weekly Work Hours: 40
Job Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Type: Permanent; Full-time

Main Duties

  • Develop, improve, and evaluate policies and procedures concerning human resources management and labour relations strategies;
  • Work out & implement annual personnel management plans and recruit suitable candidates for vacant positions by screening resumes, arranging interviews, negotiating with interviewers over compensation and benefits, verifying candidates’ qualifications, and concluding labour contracts;
  • Research the average pay-and-benefits package of the same industry and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, labour disciplines, salary scales, and competency appraisal measures and systems;
  • Responsible for staffing administration, compensation management, staff training and career development planning, employee assistance, employment equity, and affirmative action programs;
  • Mediate labour disputes between an employee and the employer, listen to employees’ complaints, and give feasible advice to both employees and the employer to improve labour relations;
  • Establish and administer employee archives, maintain human resources information, and establish a talent pool for the company;
  • Pay attention to employees’ health and safety in the work place, put forward advice on improvement of work environment to the employer if necessary, and organize team-building activities;


  • A university degree or college diploma in human resources management or a related field required;
  • Three years of experience in human resources management is a must;
  • Familiar with labour laws and regulations;
  • Strong time management, communication, and organization skills;
  • Have a quick wit;
  • Experience in food processing industry would be a bonus;
