Overview:

This is a rare opportunity for a recently designated CHRP to apply all facets of human resources to our clients across the country.  The OI Group of Companies provides human resources outsourcing services to companies across Canada.  These companies and employees rely on the Human Resources Manager to guide them through issues pertaining to provincial labour legislation and the Employment Standards Act. The HR Manager works autonomously and this is unique opportunity to manage your own department and present recommendations for your continuous improvement in training and development.

Here at the OI Group customer service in paramount.  The Human Resources Manager establishes positive working relationships with all of our clients and employees assigned to the placement organizations.  In addition to possessing a thorough understanding of employment law other expectations include:

Responsibilities:

  • Respond immediately and accordingly to any and all client and employee enquiries
  • Remain current with all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations
  • Prepare employment contracts, contract amendments, reprimands and terminations
  • Maintain organized electronic files for each document ensuring to obtain signed copies
  • Manage Excel spreadsheets of active employees; update as required
  • Track and onboard qualified employees to OI Group benefit plan
  • Benefit, pension and RRSP administration as required;
  • WSIB reporting, investigation and submission of required documentation
  • Thorough follow up and follow through on Return to Work and case management
  • Issue required employee training, track progress and completion, issue certificates
  • Policy procedure and development, labour relations, training and development, evaluations
  • Assist with payroll calculations for statutory holiday pay, bonuses, severances, etc.

Qualifications:

  • CHRP designation in good standing 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an HR position is preferred
  • Knowledge of WSIB, Health & Safety, Employment Standards Act, labour legislation
  • Ability to research other provincial labour legislation and apply accordingly across Canada
  • Benefits administration experience – enrollment, claims management, plan member adjustments
  • Thorough knowledge of Work Performance Evaluations

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Group Benefits available

Salary is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum
