In collaboration with other natural resource sector agencies, the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNRO) acts as British Columbia’s land management agency. As the land manager, FLNRO develops policies, objectives and strategies to guide the stewardship of resource values and the authorization of responsible resource development.

As part of the Ministry’s Regional Operations division, the Resource Management team is responsible for the integrated delivery of stewardship outcomes, including fish and wildlife management, ecosystem and habitat conservation, cumulative effects assessment, natural resources research, and geospatial analysis and decision support..

The Land and Resource Coordinator (LRC) is part of a 5 person team primarily focused on Caribou Projects within the North East. This position works with a project team drawn from across government agencies, First Nations and other partners to develop solutions that address complex stewardship issues and balance multiple interests. An effective communicator, you support project teams by leading technical analysis and options development, process facilitation, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

This is an exciting hands-on role that provides an opportunity to assess land and resource information to determine the best integrated resource management decision, with a primary focus on the forest industry.
