The Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring data integrity is maintained throughout all financial systems and ensuring accurate flow of information. This role will be responsible for developing new tools, systems and reports for the finance department to allow for more timely and accurate accounting processes as well as more timely and accurate financial information.

  • Successful completion of post-secondary studies at a university level in the area of Computing and Financial Management would be considered an asset
  • Completion of post-secondary studies in similar area of specialization may be considered
  • Superior computer abilities, with the ability to adapt to new software and make recommendations on software implementation
  • Proven ability to work using Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Experienced with system analysis, integration and data mapping
  • Experience with application conversion and process re-engineering
  • Professional Accounting Designation would be considered an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Transportation industry in a similar role would be considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience working with TMW and TMT software would be considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as a member of a team
  • Ability to be precise and accurate
  • Excellent analytical and financial management skills
  • Proven ability to be self-driven, capable of adapting to change and simultaneously managing multiple tasks/ projects/ assignments
  • Ability to continuously evaluate priorities to lead task/ projects to completion
  • Ability to manage project milestones and risks with minimal supervision


  • Responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of financial processes
  • Analyze current business and system processes for potential areas for improvement
  • Develop new reports and ensure accuracy of data and analysis
  • Complete Structured Query Language (SQL) database design and access
  • Implement rational database models using data types, SQL query writing and stored procedures
  • Help all business users achieve maximum utilization of systems to achieve process improvements and identify and communicate opportunities for automation
  • Produce necessary system, process and testing documentation
  • Partner efforts between Finance and Information Technology to support all business operations
  • Oversee financial administration, including user setup and control implementation
  • Provide training to alternate users and manage accuracy of information
  • Assist with development and testing of controls for internal processing
  • Create efficiencies and streamline process focused on user ease and prevention of process error
  • Assist with standardization of reporting
  • Work with end users and ensure that newly operationalized processes are fully and effectively implemented
  • Track and report on any savings/ cost avoidance generated
  • Foster teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers
  • Ensure project integration by effectively communicating activities to team members, business partners and leadership team
  • Adhere to all Titanium Transportation Group Inc. service standards and policies, including Health & Safety
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of Occupational Health and Safety
