We are in pursuit of that next great bookkeeper who displays those impeccable skills required for a semi-entrepreneurial style position.  This person is highly organized and is confident in making decisions on their own that will benefit their clients’ needs.  The day to day bookkeeping duties is an obvious must for such a position, however building relationships amongst clients and managing multiple accounts is the key to success.  You must love the books but you also must love being personable and managing priorities and deadlines.   

Our client is a highly respected bookkeeping firm in the heart of Kamloops, BC and are looking for someone like you to take their business to the next level.  They are seeking that ‘key’ professional that will share their values and business ventures to grow their company and to expand their clientele.

While the candidate will have a great deal of support available to them, this position enjoys an entrepreneurial-feel in that they will have their own list of clients, and be responsible for all aspects of managing those client accounts within company guidelines.  This position would be perfect for someone who enjoys the ability to make decisions with the best interests of their clients in mind.

    • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
    • Government Remittances
    • Cash Flow Management
    • Yearend Preparations
  • All client communication
  • Managing overdue accounts

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 – 7 years on the job experience in a bookkeeping position managing multiple accounts
  • Must have experience working with Sage 50 or Simply Accounting
  • Preference will be given to an educational background in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts with conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent demeanor in working with clients
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel
