Assistant Manager - $30,000 annual salary plus bonuses

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Excellent management, communication and leadership skills
  • Positive energy and attitude, willingness to contribute
  • Minimum 1 year experience in previous supervisor/management position
  • Restaurant experience a must
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage time
  • Ability to work under pressure and high stress
  • Reliable vehicle (to assist with deliveries when necessary)
  • Fluent in English (written, reading and oral)
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. without any issue

Duties include:

  • Operating a hands on, fast-paced kitchen efficiently, as an individual and as part of a team of Shift Supervisors, Keyholders and Crew Members
  • Training and coaching Shift Supervisors, Keyholders and Crew Members to ensure staff are consistently executing all tasks to standard
  • Understanding and enforcing cooking procedures to ensure quality standards are always being upheld
  • Overseeing control and keeping records of any food waste
  • Balancing cash trays and completing daily/nightly checklists
  • General management of staff and shift scheduling
  • Troubleshooting and handling customer complaints and issues
  • Ensuring cleanliness and repair of kitchen and storefront by delegating cleaning duties to team
  • Completing weekly and monthly inventory and supply orders
  • Attendance to monthly Management meetings at Head Office (Burlington)
  • Create meeting agenda and conduct staff meetings
  • Occasional assistance with the recruiting process
  • Administrative upkeep and duties as needed or applicable
  • Overseeing customer service and coaching team members on their customer service ability and upselling skills
  • Perform weekly sampling runs by taking food samples to local businesses and encouraging organic customer growth in the area

Required Availability:

  • Full-Time
  • Ideal flexible availability for days or evenings, between 9:30AM and 12:00AM on weekdays and 9:30AM to 2:00AM on weekends (mostly evenings which is 4PM until close)
  • Willing and available to work weekends and holidays
  • Must have own reliable vehicle (to assist with deliveries)
